SHIP and Medicare Insurance Assistance

Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older, those under 65 with certain disabilities and/or diagnoses. The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free, unbiased help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have questions about their health insurance.

The ADRC, also known as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), County Office on Aging, or Senior Services, provides information on a broad range of programs and services, helps people understand the various long term care options available to them, helps people apply for programs and benefits, and serves as an access point for long term care.
