Home Delivered Meals: Community Services Inc., of Ocean County prepares a hot nutritionally balanced meal at lunchtime to seniors who are homebound, unable to prepare their own meals and who have no one available to assist them with meal preparation. In some instances, weekend meals are available.
Congregate Nutrition Sites: A well balanced and nutritionally sound hot luncheon meal is served, as well as providing a place for seniors to socialize; also provides limited transportation to the sites.

Chronic Disease & Diabetes Self-Management Workshops…..732-281-8391. Peer-led workshops are held for 2 1/2 hours once a week for six weeks. Workshops give people with chronic conditions and/or their caregivers the knowledge, skills and confidence to take more active role in their health care. Participants learn strategies for managing symptoms, working with health care professionals, setting weekly goals, problem - solving, relaxing, handling difficult emotions, eating well, and exercising safely and easily.
