Community Health Center of Asbury Park. Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center Inc. (VNACJ CHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center, has provided comprehensive primary and preventive health care for infants, children, and adults of Monmouth County for more than 20 years. The VNACJ CHC’s are conveniently located in Asbury Park, Keyport and Red Bank. The CHC opened in 1994 in Asbury Park to improve the health and well-being of individuals by providing high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive health care services. In 2003, the VNACJ CHC became designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), independently governed 501 (c)3 guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees of which more than 50% are patients of the centers. In 2001, services were expanded to include HIV primary care and early intervention services. Later, in 2005, prenatal, nutrition counseling and behavioral health were all expanded to the CHC’s scope of services. Lastly, a much needed dental suite was added to the CHC of Asbury Park in 2011.
