Fulfill is a 501c3 nonprofit which provides emergency food for 300 food pantries, soup kitchens and other feeding programs in Ocean and Monmouth counties, which in turn serve families in need. A list of major pantries and soup kitchens with contacts, phones, and hours can be found at www.fulfillnj.org under Get Help. Fulfill also assists with culinary job skills training, SNAP applications, affordable health insurance enrollments, free tax preparation and financial coaching for low income clients. Volunteer guidelines include a completion of an application, a tour of the facility and a 20 minute orientation video. Volunteers must be 13 years or older. For those short of time, there is a “Mix, Mingle and Sort” evening on the first Thursday of the month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., during September through June. The door is open, please wear closed shoes. Those under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
