Description:
The Mercer County Sheriff's Project Lifesaver Program is specifically designed for persons with cognitive disabilities who might wander from their homes and disappear. After a family consultation with our highly trained professionals, the potential wanderer is given a tiny wrist transmitter to wear. Also, life-saving information is stored in a database, including medicines needed, wandering history, past addresses where the wanderer might return, family contacts, and a photograph, all to help a rescue team complete a successful search. Under Project Lifesaver, search times for lost and wandering individuals are dramatically reduced.
