RSVP is a national program, part of the Senior Service Corps of The Corporation for National Service. RSVP creates meaningful volunteer opportunities for individuals age 55 years or older in order to encourage older adults to participate fully in their communities and to meet the needs of non-profit and community organizations throughout the county. RSVP of Middlesex County identifies volunteers and volunteer opportunities in the county and makes a careful connection. Numerous RSVP volunteer opportunities are available throughout Middlesex County. Each volunteer opportunity is different; requiring different skills, level of commitment, and training. Volunteers can choose where to serve, when to serve, how much time they want to serve, and whether to share their skills or develop new ones. The three major programming areas for volunteer opportunities are: Senior Services, Food Services, and Career Services
